Combined Company is Largest in High School Sports Media Space

PlayOn! Sports announced the completion of its acquisition of When We Were Young Productions (WWWYP), establishing the company as the nation’s largest rights holder, producer, distributor and aggregator of high school sports content. The merged company produced more than 8,000 events, crowned 1,000 champions and generated more than 15,000 hours of live and on-demand event coverage from 21 states across the country during the past year.

The transaction was completed on January 13, 2012. Tim Eichorst, president of WWWYP, will assume the role of president in the merged company and will be appointed to the company’s board of directors. The company will operate under PlayOn! Sports, and will be based in Atlanta, Ga., with offices in Madison, Wis., and Lansing, Mich.
