The SCHSL Network in partnership with the South Carolina High School League (SCHSL) is proud to announce the addition of Orangeburg Consolidated School District 5 (Orangeburg), Allendale-Fairfax (Fairfax) and Camden (Camden) High Schools, to the SCHSL Network School Broadcast Program. The program allows participating schools in South Carolina to produce and broadcast TV-like events for live and on demand viewing via the SCHSL Network video portal at www.SCHSLNetwork.com.
The program provides an educational opportunity for students by providing training and live production experience on school related events and activities. This enables schools to showcase all different types of sporting events and school activities (e.g. graduation, soccer, theater, news shows). Most recently the student participants at Irmo High School (Irmo) have produced and received recognition for their game coverage from the Varsity Boys Soccer program that is currently ranked #1 according to ESPN standings. In addition to the educational benefits, the SCHSL Network School Broadcast Program provides participating high schools with new opportunities to generate revenue through advertising and sponsorships.
